About

Christian and Annatjie van den Heever were led to start this Ministry and can witness the current impact it has on young people.

Testimony:
“We started Practical Bible School in 2012. During this time we worked with children and young adults that were on the street and without a livelihood. We supported them and helped them with an opportunity to rehabilitate.

It was during this time that we started working with a young lady that was born into Satanism. She came to us asking for help early in 2014, after much prayer, we decided to take her into our home where she is still staying today.

This has not been an easy road and we know that the road ahead will also not be easy, but God is Faithful. As a result of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and working with her, this ministry was born.

We are continuously improving our skills by attending specialized related courses.”

Our

Our Mission

As a registered NPO, Touching Africa’s (TAM) aim, is to assist victims of the occult and human trafficking related abuse, physical abuse and behavioural problems.

We provide the following:

  • A house of restoration and counselling.
  • Assistance to these victims regardless of their economic status, gender or
background in the form of food, shelter and life skills.
  • Monthly camps for emotional support and restoration.
  • Counselling and facilitating these young people as well as their families.
  • Evangelism

Our Vision

To support a manageable group of young people, teaching them skills and integrity through Biblical Principals and assisting them to integrate as fully functional members of society.

This will be achieved in a comfortable and loving environment whilst treating them with respect and dignity.

Project

Rough Diamonds Project and Youth Camps

Because they are…
* Too hard to break but too tarnished to shine …
* Helping young people realize their full potential…

Camps are held at our premises in Leeupoort Vakansiedorp, Limpopo.

We host Weekend Camps, Holiday Camps, Women’s Camps and Men’s Camps.

A maximum of 6 delegates attend the camps. Only a few are able to afford the costs of the camp, therefore sponsorship is always welcome.

Facilitating

FOCUS

Focus

With small group support and facilitating sessions, young people are assisted to focus on their future and forget their current circumstances.

HEALING

Healing

One-on-one sessions, facilitating the process of emotional healing, is encouraged. Because of the small group dynamic more personal time and support can be devoted to each attendee.

Support & Relationship

Support & Relationship

By interacting with the animals and nature, they become more open to building a relationship and a support system with us.

House of

House of Restoration is Touching Africa Ministries’ direct Safe House.

At our Safe House we:

  • Assist young people on an individual basis.
  • Run the house by principles based of the Word of God.
  • Present courses in spiritual and life skills development.
  • Other professional therapists and counselors are engaged with as required.
  • Evaluate each individual to determine his/her individual skills and training programs are implemented accordingly.
  • Offer help with integration back into society.

In association with the house of restoration we wish to start a 24 hour coffee venue, where young people have an open door to facilitators in a safe haven when things get tough.

Craft development and workshops will be offered to assist with sustainability of the property and ministry.

This offers a safe environment in which children can spend time with others and acquire training skills.
